TACTILE STUDIOS
Tactile studios is an independent analogue printing studio in London, offering analogue and digital photographic printing services.
The studio approached me to redesign the Tactile Studios branding with a vision to honour timeless artistry of traditional photographic printing infused with a renewed sense of modernity. This fusion resulted in a bold and contemporary brand design, with tactile accents that nod to the hands-on printing process.
The project consisted of a full rebrand, and the deliverables included a set of cohesive brand guidelines, brand assets, and a mobile responsive website
Drawing inspiration from the intricate processes of darkroom printing, the brand design introduces effects such as negative image filters, rich red colour palette and handwritten scribbled motifs that mimic the tactile nature of working in the darkroom.
